Visual Calculator - Mathpix vs Photomath vs Mathpal

After blogging about Lenwoloppali Differential Equation Scanner from Big Bang Theory, I did more research on this kind of "calculator", people call them visual calculator.

The advantage is easy to tell: With the visual calculator, a few simple clicks can get you the answer, assume the recognition is almost perfect. With other calculator, you have to physically type in the expression which is a disaster if you have a little complicated problem. Well, of course if you type it right, you get the right answer.

There are a plenty visual calculators out there on the market, and I picked three for comparison here in this blog. Here we go:

All three use camera to capture math expressions and give you the answer.

I would choose between Photo Math and Mathpal since both offer unlimited math problem solving, and Mathpix has limited photo you can take every 24 hours. And you can go for better experience with paid service from Photo Math.

I also looked up their released date and found out that Mathpal is pretty new, I am not sure how better it could be compare to photo math, but it seems it is on the right track. So as of now, I would go with Photo Math.

Let me know what you prefer out of 3 apps. :)
